A "Purrrrrrfectly" Fun Halloween

Our three black cats had a great time trick or treating tonight. Or maybe I should say our two black cats and a 16 month old in a black fuzzy costume, but no cat ears or whiskers. L would have nothing to do with her cat ears until the end of the evening!

Tonight, C told us that she wasn't scared of anything. She marched up to the "spookiest" house on the block...imagine a fog machine, the "Scream" character and other costumed spooks...she didn't even blink an eye. Then...out from behind their parked car jumps their teenage son in a werewolf mask! C couldn't hightail it over to me fast enough. All of us had a good giggle after the color returned to C's face!

AB & C loved every minute of passing out candy to the trick or treaters. They raced to the door every time the bell rang. We wonder if the girls would rather stay home & greet trick or treaters or go out and get their own loot.

Poor L got no candy tonight (because Mommy & Daddy are SO mean!) She clutched a Nestle Crunch so hard and for so long that it was completely melted when I had to pry it out of her chubby little hand! L will get her share of candy next year when she is old enough.

AB & C each had permission to eat their 3 favorite pieces from tonight's collection. AB chose all chocolate (just like her daddy) and C chose the sugary hard candy (just like Mommy). C made a "candy mix" with her sweets by combining Smarties, Skittles & Dots in a cup. YUM!

At the end of the evening AB asked us what R & I were going to dress up as next year. Guess we'd better start brainstorming now!

Happy Halloween to all!
