Yesterday, C's preschool had a teacher work day. So, no school for the kids. I overhead several moms complaining that their children had one less day at school this week and concerns of one more day at home with kids. Give me a break!
I was thrilled to have an extra day to spend with C. And I was overjoyed that it was a day that L was at Mother's Day Out. C & I could spend 4 hours together...alone. She never gets that kind of time with just me.
We set out to do a few chores early in the day and then we had a "Day at the Spa" planned. It was such fun taking her for her first "pedicure" at the salon. She only got her toenails painted (well, I was a sucker and let her get her fingernails done, too!)
The ladies in the salon were enthralled with C's hair. They could not stop touching those precious blonde curls. I can't blame them...I find myself twirling and winding my fingers in those yummy curls every day!
C and I had a fantastic time just the two of us until we picked up L at 1pm. The day was short on time, but long on memories!
