C's first week of Kindergarten has been a huge success. She loves it! Here are a few of the things she's learned, her favorite things about Kindergarten & her new friends/classmates...
• New best friend - Kate
• Letter of the Week - "I"
• Words that start with "I" - igloo, infant, insect, information, ice, icicle, Ipswitch (thanks, Daddy)
• Houses have an upstairs, a downstairs, an attic and sometimes a basement.
• Kate's house has a basement (do houses in Texas really have basements?)
• Kate lives on Vine Street (I don't even know where that is! I should consult Garmin!)
• Attends chapel each morning with the "big kids" (all students, K-7th grade attend chapel together)
• Gets to "lead" chapel on Friday (with all Kindergarten students)
• C's jobs this week are snack helper and "linebacker"
• Snack helper means that our family provided snack each day and C helps distribute snacks at snack time
• Linebacker means that she keeps everyone in their line when they are traveling outside the classroom (gotta love that one!)
• Can "personalize" the uniform look with pink tennis shoes, a shiny red headband & sparkly sunglasses perched on top of the headband
