AB tells us that second grade is "way better than first grade" after her first day of school. Our wonderful elementary school encourages parents to have lunch in the cafeteria with their children. So, L & I ran up to the school to find sweet AB surrounded by friends. She looked so happy, so comfortable, so perfect! It made me smile with happiness and relief that she was back in her element. When she got off the school bus, she grinned at the sight of Daddy & me. What a feeling!
AB has a wonderful teacher (maestra), Miss Carrera. Organization is definitely one of her many strengths. She's sent home all sorts of information in both English & Spanish. Last year almost everything was sent home in Spanish, which made homework VERY interesting for me to doublecheck/ask questions about accuracy. Miss Carrera also has a smile on her face every time that I see her. We're extremely blessed by such happy, loving and dedicated teachers this year!
