After two months, I guess it's about time that I update our poor neglected blog. With the end of school activities, some home remodeling projects and being a pregnant mom of three, I have just not made the time to update here. My apologies!
Here goes...
We've had:
two dance competitions
caught earthworms after a spring rain
climbed trees
experienced Cowboy Day, Water Day, End of the Year School Carnival & Field Day at 3 different schools
had a dance recital (first for Lila & the first for me to have all 3 girls dancing = 11 costume changes while 7 months pregnant!)
remodeled 4 bathrooms with granite countertops
donated ten inches of beautiful blonde hair to Locks of Love
gone swimming until we're wrinkled
attended a Cowboy Mouth concert and so much more.
Whew! I am worn out again just thinking about all the fun that we've had.
I am feeling mostly great and very blessed that with this surprise blessing, I've also been blessed with the easiest pregnancy so far. I've only started having some tiredness and bad reflux, but nothing a little rest and some Prilosec haven't been able to help.
The newest Mayerhoff will be here in about 6 weeks which is zooming towards us! I am finally starting to prepare the nursery by washing/ironing all of the bedding, cleaning out drawers & closets, etc. I actually bought our first box of newborn diapers today. We will be ready for the arrival in late July. My OB goes on vacation and has plans to induce me around July 24-27 so that I can be discharged before he leaves town on July 30.
It's still hard to believe that I will be the mom of 4. I always knew that I wanted to be a mom of 3. When Rodney & I were dating and discussing "life plans" he told me that he wanted 5 children. I told him that 3 was a definite, 4 was a possibility and 5 was absolutely out of the question. I guess that God decided that 4 was the right number for us, but we are definitely done after this one. 5 is STILL out of the question for me (and for Rodney now, too!)
Enjoy the photo slideshow of some of our recent fun times. There are so many more pictures, but I had to limit myself to some favorites. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are. It's been heavenly not having a hectic schedule so that Rodney & I can enjoy our time as parents of three for a short time longer!
