Should we stay or should we go?

Our area schools have cancelled classes for tomorrow due to Hurricane Ike (C & L's school cancelled classes for today as well since they serve as a hurricane shelter). R has his employees shipping out as many chemicals as possible. They are filling drums, trucks & railcars as fast as they can. He might be bunking at the plant this weekend since he is responsible for Operations, Safety & Manufacturing. They are shutting down the plant, but have to have a crew there to "babysit the plant" (his words) to make sure nothing goes wrong. The plant has a generator and now even has a back up generator to keep the basic machines powered. They have a stock of food/water to get the crews through the weekend and into next week. I don't really want to weather the storm here with just me and the girls. I'll keep everyone posted on our decision. R should know something about what he'll do in the next few hours and that will determine what the girls & I do. We would either head to Dallas or Shreveport, taking back roads as long as possible to avoid the massive traffic heading out of Houston.
