While the cat's away...

The kittens are gone, too! So, this mama mouse is playing!

R had to go home to finance all of the playing us girls are doing in Dallas. ;-)

My MIL called me to ask if the girls could come spend the night with them. We met for lunch at Celebrity (one of our favorites!) and as of 1pm today, I have been child free (the girls went home with Papa & Grandma from lunch). I miss them like crazy, but I've been able to enjoy the following indulgences:

(1) View and order photos from yesterday's competition. It was nice to be able to pay close attention to all of the images. I had them design a collage of my favorites which I plan to surprise AB with when we get home!

(2) Browse Anthropologie, not looking for anything in particular. I absolutely love that store. The colors and textures just speak to me. I can just stand there absorbing every detail of my surroundings. I spent over an hour in Anthropologie tonight. Making up for lost time, I guess!

(3) I had the time and opportunity to try on at least six pairs of shoes. It was heavenly! I had a hard time choosing just one (sorry, honey!), so I got two. One of them was only $10, so I didn't spend all of R's hard earned salary.

(4) Eat Thai food! One of the drawbacks of living in a small town is that we don't have a Thai restaurant. Tonight on my mommy shopping adventure, I worked up quite the appetite (again, sorry, honey!) so I picked up "Kiss Me Garlic" from our favorite Thai place here in Dallas. It was just as good as I remembered and I have leftovers to enjoy tomorrow! Yum!

My mini "vacation" ends tomorrow when the girls come back from Grandma & Papa's. I'm always grateful for the time to myself since it does help me to be the best mommy I can be. But, I miss my girls terribly and I am looking forward to tomorrow with my angels. We all miss R & anticipate getting home to him later this week. After we finish our playing, of course.
